Arrival Nova Scotia July 1

So now we adjust our watches back a half hour and we're once again
on the mainland, and still with sunny skies.
We were scheduled for 2 nights at an Airbnb in Cape Breton, about 2.5 hours away. But once again it took us all day to get there.
We thought we'd have a short visit at the Louisburg Fortress but we ended up staying there for hours. The last conquerors, the British, actually destroyed the fortress to the ground, but Parks Canada has rebuilt one fifth of it. The site covers a huge area. Kind of like Upper Canada Village but more authentic, as were the reenactments.
They actually make everyone park a couple of kilometers away, and then they are shuttled in by bus.
Here are a couple of reenactments:

After lunch in town,      (No, I'm not sick of lobster rolls yet.)
because we'd gone a little out of our way, we now had a 3 hour ride to the Airbnb. We had driven the Cabot Trail before going to Newfoundland, because we had had time, so I hope that just 2 nights here will be enough. The scenery is stunning so not a hardship to follow the same route again.
(Sorry, all pics taken through dirty car window while driving).
This time, driving in a different direction, so getting another perspective.
We finally arrived at our little place, just outside the National Park.
Once again, quite comfortable. Each unit has its own outdoor hot tub which grabbed my attention for about a minute and a half. Oye, too much effort to find my bathing suit in the car. Although tempting, because sure to be a starry night.
