Arrived Halifax Area July 3

Michael is religiously opposed to bug spray. Today, he was scratching, scratching, scratching until I found calamine and another ointment, and then lo and behold, he was magically cured (he refuses to use all balms).
I have a theory. If you wave your arms up and down, thrashing about like somebody that has just escaped from an insane asylum, you're going to attract more bugs. All to say, I could not get him into the woods today. We were packed up and out by 9:15, and I had found another easy short trail just down the road, but he refused to go.
So I took my walking stick and went on my own.

So, we've all heard, it's the journey, not the destination, so once again we took the long way, adding an additional 54 miles (90km) to complete the Cabot trail in a clockwise direction (opposite of the we had driven on it, in May). All gorgeous scenery except we did have one reminder from home...
Apart from stopping for gas, we did take time for a nice lunch by the sea but no other photo stops and finally arrived at our Airbnb around 5:30.       This is the neighborhood. This is the house that we're staying at, but we have to go around to the back, because the owners live upstairs.

We're not actually staying in Halifax. We're in Bedford. From the backyard, you see the Sackler river, with a bridge that crosses over from Dartmouth( on the left) to Halifax (on the right).plus a kitchen, and this is home for the next 7 nights.
Tomorrow's forecast is for hot and sunny weather!
