April 18 Leaving Tokyo

We made it. We're on the ship and I still can't believe that they didn't check my PCR test results. They only took copies of our vaccines and dates administered. But, I'll have to look into that. Some people now have a sticker on their passports indicating that they did a test.
We arrived early at the terminal and that paid off as we were among the first to board, and more importantly, the first to hit the lunch buffet.
Naturally, we haven't spoken with EVERYONE on the ship yet, but have spoke with quite a few and it seems, like a nice easy going bunch. What I like, is that there doesn't seem to be any big groups or cliques and everyone is talking to everybody. And no kids, or at least, haven't spotted any yet.And almost as crucial, we remembered a bartender and he remembered us....or is that a good thing?
Supper was wonderful, but as a clue as to out of it I am, forgot to take pics 😕.
Very pleased with the entertainment crew, as well.
And, drum roll.....I still have internet on the water, although, I imagine will lose it if we go too far from land. As it is, cannot upload anything to my blog url, so will have to settle for regular email for now.
Sea day tomorrow, but will be busy with excursion presentation, and a special interest enrichment lecture, tomorrow's topic:" America's partners in Asia- in turbulent Times, it's Good to have Friends." And then the Welcome onboard Brunch .
You're not gonna catch me at trivia or bingo . Dam , have a scheduling conflict, so no bridge, either. But MAYBE, I'll try the watercolor class for the clueless.
Michael did his laundry as soon as we got our suitcases, so he's happy. And I'm in awe, because I was able to unpack EVERYTHING and I still have space to stow stuff.
BTW, I enjoy hearing news from home, so those of you who write back, much appreciated.
Ooh...I feel the ship rocking and I like it.
