part 2. Delhi to Cochin

Instead of taking the train back from Agra to Delhi, we had a longer bus drive back instead, using a private highway. Then on our third day, we left the hotel at 7:45 am to go back to the airport. This time we would be flying to Cochin .((Flight attendants (faux pas, mea culpa...NOT  stewardesses)on return flight.))

Cochin is a city of roughly 2 million and has the first airport in the world, that is powered solely by solar energy.
On arrival, it is immediately evident that we are back in a lush tropical environment.
There are 9 States in India, and Kochi is in the state of Kerala, which differs not only in geography from the rest of the country, but also in literacy rates. this state is almost half Christian and early in the century, pushed to educate women and the lower castes..
We caught up with the ship at 4:30 and by 5 pm, the ship set sail.
